RESOLUTION EXTENDING THE COMPLIANCE DATES FOR UNDERGROUND
UTILITY DISTRICT NO. 1978 -1 UNIVERSITY AVENUE NORTH OF
BLOSSOM HILL ROAD
WHEREAS, the Town Council established Underground Utility District No.
1978 -1 on August 7, 1978, pursuant to Article III of Chapter 32 of the Town
Code, by adopting Ordinance No. 1402, and
WHEREAS, Section 32 -21 of the Los Gatos Town Code, permits the Town
Council to extend the time for compliance with the requirements imposed by
underground utility districts; and
WHEREAS, the utility companies will not be ready to provide underground
service in said District until September 1, 1979, and
WHEREAS the property owners cannot remove their overhead services until
the utility companies are ready to provide underground service;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the time within which affected
property owners in Underground Utility District 1978 -1 must be ready to
receive underground service is extended from May 1, 1979 to September 1, 1979.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the
Town of Los Gatos on the 21st day of May , 1979, by the following vote:
AYES: COUNCIL MEMBERS Ruth Cannon, Thomas J. Ferrito, Peter W. Siemens,
John B. Lochner
NOES: COUNCIL MEMBERS None
ABSENT: COUNCIL MEMBERS Mardi Gualtieri
