A RESOLUTION MAKING A FINDING REGARDING
THE VALUE OF WRITTEN PROTESTS FILED AND
TERMINATING THE PROCEEDINGS FOR ANNEXATION
OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED
AS OKA ROAD NO. 8 TO THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
On March 5, 1979, the Town Council of the Town of Los
Gatos adopted Resolution No. 1979 -24 initiating proceedings
for annexation to the Town of Los Gatos of uninhabited
territory called Oka Road No. 8. The boundaries of the
proposed annexation are described in the real property
description and map attached hereto marked Exhibits "A" and
"B ", respectively.
THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS FINDS AND
RESOLVES:
1. Pursuant to Resolution No. 1979 -24, a hearing to
consider protests against this annexation was held by the Town
Council on April 16, 1979, continued to and concluded on
June 4, 1979.
2. One written protest against the annexation was filed
by Thomas M. Yuki representing the owners of land which has
100 percent of the total assessed value of land and improvements
in the proposed annexation. The protest was not withdrawn.
3. Government Code section 35229(a) requires termination
of uninhabited annexation proceedings if written protests have
been filed and not withdrawn by the owners of land and improve-
ments who own not less than 50 percent of the-total assessed
value of land and improvements within the territory.
4. Pursuant to section 35229(a), the proceedings for the
proposed annexation designated Oka Road No. 8 are hereby terminated.
The Town Clerk is directed to give notice of this action by
mailing a certified copy of this resolution to the executive
officer of the Local Agency Formation Commission.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council
of the Town of Los Gatos held on 18th day of June
1979, by the following vote:

All that real property situate in the County of Santa Clara, State of
California, described as follows:
Beginning at the Westerly corner of Oka Road No. 6, Parcel 1, Annexation
to the Town of Los Gatos, said corner also lying on the Southeasterly
line of Lark Avenue No. 3 Annexation to the Town of Los Gatos, said line
also being the Southeasterly line of Oka Road, as same now exists; thence
along the Southwesterly line of said Oka Road No. 6, Parcel 1, Annexation
South 58 021' East 200.86 feet to the Southerly corner of last said
annexation, said corner also lying on the boundary of Northeast No. 5
Annexation to the Town of Los Gatos; thence along last said boundary
South 17 001140" West 78 feet, more or less, to an angle point in last
said boundary; thence along last said boundary Southeasterly 162 feet,
more or less, to a second angle point in last said boundary; thence along
last said boundary North 31 014140" East 81 feet, more or less, to the
Westerly corner of Oka Road No. 6, Parcel 2, Annexation to the Town of
Los Gatos; thence along the Southwesterly line of last said annexation
South 58 021' East 182.00 feet to the Southerly corner of last said
annexation, said corner also being on the Northwesterly line of Burton
Road No. 2 Annexation to the Town of Los Gatos; thence along last said
line Southwesterly 500 feet, more or less, to the intersection thereof
with the Northeasterly line of Lark Avenue No. 1 Annexation to the Town
of Los Gatos; thence along last said line Northwesterly 658 feet, more
or less, to said Southeasterly line of Lark Avenue No. 3 Annexation,
said line also being the Southeasterly line of said Oka Road; thence
along said Southeasterly line of last said annexation and along said
