A RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION FOR A
GIFT FROM THE CHESTER ROOT ESTATE
WHEREAS, CHESTER ROOT practiced as an Architect in Los Gatos
for over 20 years, and
WHEREAS, Chester Root served on the Town Planning Commission
from May 1958 to August 1965, and
WHEREAS, Chester Root was active in many important community
projects and activities throughout the time he lived in Los Gatos, an
WHEREAS, Chester Root left to the Town of Los Gatos a gift of
his estate of $5026.85 to show his concern for and appreciation of
the Town of Los Gatos.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Town Council of the
Town of Los Gatos hereby expresses its sincere appreciation for
this gift and wishes to publicly thank the CHESTER ROOT estate
and his family and friends.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos
at a regular meeting held this 5th day of June 1978,
by the following vote:
