A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF
THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS APPROVING THE
GRANT APPLICATION FOR THE COMMUNITY
SERVICES - ANTI- BURGLARY PROGRAM AND
AUTHORIZING THE TOWN MANAGER TO
EXECUTE APPLICATION.
WHEREAS, the Town of Los Gatos desires to undertake a certain project
designated Community Services Agent - Anti - Burglary Program to be funded in
part from funds made available through the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe
Streets Act of 1968, PL 90 -351, as amended (hereafter referred to as the
Crime Control Act), administered by the Office of Criminal Justice Planning
(hereafter referred to as OCJP);
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos
that the Town Manager is authorized, on its behalf, to submit the attached
Application for Grant for law enforcement purposes to OCJP and is authorized to
execute the attached grant award for law enforcement purposes, including any
extensions or amendments thereof;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the applicant agrees to provide all matching
funds required for said project (including any extension or amendment thereof)
under the Crime Control Act and the rules and regulations of OCJP and the Law
Enforcement Assistance Administration and that cash will be appropriated as
required thereby;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that grant funds received hereunder shall not be
used to supplant law enforcement expenditures controlled by this body.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town
of Los Gatos held on the 1st day of May , 1978, by
the following vote:
AYES: COUNCIL MEMBERS: Ruth Cannon, Thomas J. Ferri
John B. Lochner, Peter W. Siemens and Mardi Gualtieri.
NOES: COUNCIL MEMBERS: None.
ABSENT COUNCIL MEMBERS: None.
