GATOS CHAMBER OF COMMERCE TO MANAGE THE TOWN'S
INFORMATION CENTER AND COORDINATE THE LEADERSHIP LOS
GATOS PROGRAM
REMARKS:
Staff received a comment regarding amending paragraph 2.13 of the contract to include language
that prohibits the Chamber from using Town monies to advocate for or against a land use
application either before or after it has been considered by the Council.
If Council would like to include this amendment, the following language could be added to
paragraph 2.13:
Use of Funds. The consultant shall not use any monies received under this
agreement for the endorsement, opposition or participation in any political
lobbying activity involved in the support or opposition to any candidate for public
office or proposed ballot measure or to advocate for or against a land use
application either before or after it has been considered by the Council.
