RECOMMENDATION:
Adopt an Ordinance amending the Code of the Town Of Los Gatos Section 2.20.010 regarding
Council meetings time and date to change regular meeting dates from Mondays to Tuesdays
effective August 2014
BACKGROUND:
On June 2, 2014, Council introduced an ordinance, which amends Section 2.20.010 of the Town
of Los Gatos Municipal Code to change the Town Council meeting dates from the first and third
Mondays to the first and third Tuesdays of every month.
DISCUSSION:
At its meeting of June 2, 2014, the Town Council held a public hearing to consider amending
Section 2.20.010 of the Town of Los Gatos Municipal Code to change the Town Council
meeting dates from the first and third Mondays to the first and third Tuesdays of every month.
CONCLUSION:
If Council adopts the ordinance at its June 16, 2014 meeting, the ordinance would go into effect
in August with the first meeting of the Town Council to be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2014.

ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
AMENDING THE CODE OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS SECTION 2.20.010
REGARDING COUNCIL MEETINGS TIME AND DATE
THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, Section 2.20.010 of the Los Gatos Town Code sets forth the time and date of
the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the Town desires to amend the Town Council meeting dates to the first and
second Tuesdays of each month; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Los Gatos needs to amend Section 2.20. 010 in order to make
this change; and
WHEREAS, following the Public Hearing, and upon consideration of the testimony of all
persons, the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos does ordain Section 2.20.010 to be
amended.
SECTION I
Town Code Section 2.20.010 is amended to read as follows:
Sec. 2.20.010. Meetings —Time.
The regular meetings of the Town Council will be on the first and third Tuesdays
of each month at 7:00 p.m.; however, when the day fixed for any regular meeting
of the Town Council falls upon a day designated by law as a legal or national
holiday, the meeting will be held on the next succeeding day not a holiday. The
Town Council may cancel a regular meeting by a vote of a majority of the Council.
The Town Council may establish additional regular meetings by adopting a
calendar of scheduled meetings at least thirty (30) days prior to such meetings. A
cur-rent, adopted calendar of Council meetings shall be posted in the office of the
Town Clerk.
SECTION 11
This Ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Los
Gatos on June 2, 2014, and adopted by the following vote as an ordinance of the Town of Los
Gatos at a meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos on June 16, 2014. This
ordinance takes effect 30 days after it is adopted.
