C OMPLETED CIP P ROJECTS FY 2013/14 A -14 A Town Park Lighting Project Town Park Lighting Project This project installed new park lighting at three Town parks – Blossom Hill Park, Howe’s Play Lot and Live Oak Manor Park. The repairs replaced old existing lighting infrastructure which was approximately 40 years old. These improvements will create some savings for the Town on electricity usage and replacement costs as the lamps in the new fixtures will last th ree times longer. The total project cost was $149,379. B Park Restroom Partition Upgrades Park Restroom Partition Up grades This project replaced restroom partitions and doors at various Town parks, including B al zar Field, Blossom Hill, Belgatos and Oak Meadow. The new partitions comply with current safety standards and building codes and include baby changing stations. The total project cost was $55,000 . C Parks Reservation Syste m Replacement Parks Reservation System Replacement This project replaced the online parks reservation system with a new system that gives staff the ability to administer reservations in a more efficient manner. New features includ e customized reports and tools, as well as a more user friendly interface to make making reservations easier for the public. The total project cost was $25,000 .
C OMPLETED CIP P ROJECTS FY 2013/14 A -15 E Parks Playground Fibar Project D Parks Playground Fibar Project Parks Playground Fibar Project This project replaced fibar material at multiple Town parks this past year – Bachman, Belgatos, Blossom Hill, Howes Playlot, La Rinconda, Live Oak Manor, Oakl Hill Play Lot and Oak Meadow . This material is placed at the base of playground equipment to prevent injury to children and meets playground safety code requirements. Fibar is a wood product that degrades over time based on weather conditions and use , and should be replaced on a regular basis, as need ed. The total project cost was $23,410 . E Civic Center Deck Repairs & Waterproofing Civic Center Deck Repairs & Waterproofing Th is project repaired the plaza concrete deck which was deteriorated and leaking. The project focused on repai ring the section of the Civic Center deck adjacent to the Administration Office entrance and steps. The total project cost was $69.136 . F Town -wide Vehicle Speed Survey Town -wide Vehicle Speed Survey This project completed a Town -wide vehicle speed survey which is mandated by the State of California to survey vehicle speeds on local roadways. This study is required to be completed every 7 years to insure that posted speed limit signs are in conformance with the vehicular traffic speeds . The total project cost was $13,500 .
C OMPLETED CIP P ROJECTS FY 2013/14 A -16 G Winchester Blvd./Knowles Intersection Improvements Winchester Blvd./Knowles Intersection Improvements This project installed upgraded traffic signalization devices at this intersection to manage the flow and volume of traffic through this corridor. Also completed with this project were sidewalk improvements, adding new turn lanes and restriping the roadway. The total project cost was $417,8 45. H Northside Parking Lot Improvements Northside Parking Lot Improvement s This project resurfaced the Northside parking lot with a seal coat and restriping to maintain th e existing infrastructure. This parking lot is heavily used so this project helped to prevent l ong term wear and damage. The total project cost was $87,231 .
