SUBJECT: INTERVIEWS FOR APPOINTMENTS TO BOARDS, COMMISSIONS, AND
COMMITTEES
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Conduct an interview process for the following: Arts and Culture Commission, Community and
Senior Services Commission, Library Board, Parks Commission, Personnel Board, Planning
Commission, and Transportation and Parking Commission.
DISCUSSION:
On December 9, 2013, Council will interview applicants for vacant board, commission, and
committee positions. Attached is a list of the advisory bodies, the number of vacancies, and the
applicants' names. The proposed schedule allows five minutes per applicant. The schedule is for
planning purposes, and more or less time can be taken, as needed.
Following the interviews, Council may appoint applicants to the vacant positions at the
December 16, 2013 Council meeting. Unless the Council directs otherwise, the Clerk
Administrator will re- advertise vacant commission positions early in 2014.
CONCLUSION:
It is recommended that Council interview applicants to fill vacant Town board, commission, and
committee positions.
