RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF CDBG FUNDS FROM PROJECT LG- 97 -51,
"HOUSING REHAB LOANS," TO PROJECT LG- 97 -41, "ADA ACCESSIBILITY
IMPROVEMENTS"
WHEREAS, the Town of Los Gatos receives Community Development Block Grant
funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development through the County of Santa
Clara as a non - entitlement city pursuant to the provisions of Title I of the Housing and Community
Development Acts of 1974 and 1977, as amended; and
WHEREAS, the Town has been allocated $41,150.00 by the County for the Town's
project number LG- 97 -41, "ADA Accessibility Improvements," which funds shall be used to
complete the Library Restroom Remodel project; and
WHEREAS, completion of Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) projects is a
Town priority; and
WHEREAS, the Town desires to transfer the $23,438.26 allocated by the County for
the Town's project number LG- 97 -51, "Housing Rehab Loans," into project number LG- 97 -41,
in order that the Library Restroom Remodel project be fully funded; and
WHEREAS, the Town has sufficient funds allocated in its own accounts to fully fund
its Housing Rehabilitation Loan program, without use of County- allocated CDBG funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
The Town Council does hereby authorize the transfer of CDBG funds from project LG- 97 -51,
"Housing Rehab Loans," to project LG- 97 -41, "ADA Accessibility Improvements."
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town
of Los Gatos, California, held on the 17th day of May, 1999 by the following vote:
