RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL /REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
AUTHORIZING STAFF TO NEGOTIATE A CONTRACT FOR PROJECT 0233B
SANTA CRUZ AVENUE ELECTRICAL IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, bids were sought in conformance with State and Town law for Project 02-
33B Santa Cruz Avenue Electrical Improvements; and
WHEREAS, despite two prior efforts to obtain acceptable bids for this project, only
single bids were submitted, which were judged by staff to be too costly and not economical; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best economic interest of the Town to proceed with this project
as soon as possible by means of a negotiated contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Town Council /Redevelopment
Agency of the Town of Los Gatos, County of Santa Clara, State of California, that Council
authorize staff to negotiate a contract with an electrical contractor for Project 0233B Santa Cruz
Avenue Electrical Improvements.
PASSED AND ADOPTED, at a regular meeting of the Town Council /Redevelopment
Agency of the Town of Los Gatos, California, held on the l8th day of August, 2003 by the
following vote:
