RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL
OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
ORDERING THE PLACEMENT OF
"NO PARKING VEHICLE OVER THIGH" SIGNS
WHEREAS, it is the intention of the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos to order
the placement of "no parking vehicles over Thigh" signs on locations throughout Town; and
WHEREAS, parking and long term storage of large trucks and trailers in the vicinity of
Knowles Drive, Blossom Hill Road, Los Gatos Boulevard, Pollard Road, and University Avenue
have impacted businesses and residents; and
WHEREAS, the Town Code does not allow storage of any types of vehicles at the same
place for over 72 hours without moving; and
WHEREAS, the placement of "no parking vehicle over Thigh" signs is a benefit to the
businesses and neighborhoods and will alleviate parking, safety, visibility, and aesthetic concerns
throughout Town.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the placement of "no parking vehicle
over 7' high" signs is hereby approved and the Town Engineer is authorized to install the signs at
appropriate locations.
PASSED AND ADOPTED, at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of
Los Gatos, California, held on the 16th day of June, 2003 by the following vote:
