The Town Council and Planning Commission of the Town of Los Gatos conducted a
Special Meeting on Monday, October 24, 2011 at 6:00 P.M.
TOWN COUNCIL
MEETING CALLED TO ORDER AT 6:00 P.M.
ROLL CALL
Present: Mayor Joe Pirzynski, Vice Mayor Steve Rice, Council Member Steven
Leonardis, Council Member Diane McNutt, and Council Member Barbara Spector.
Absent: None.

Building Board of Appeals (3 vacancies, 1 applicant)
Community and Senior Services Commission (2 vacancies, 1 applicant)
General Plan Committee (1 vacancy, 0 applicants)
Historic Preservation Committee (1 vacancy, 1 applicant)
Library Board (2 vacancies, 3 applicants)
Parks Commission (2 vacancies, 1 applicant)
Personnel Board (3 vacancies, 1 applicant)
Planning Commission (2 vacancies, 9 applicants)
Transportation and Parking (2 vacancies, 2 applicants)

o Dawn Rose-Niederman was appointed.

o David Zicovich was re-appointed.

Historic Preservation Committee
o Leonard Pacheco was re-appointed.
Library Board
o Rita Baum was re-appointed.
o Mary (Kitty) King was re-appointed.
Parks Commission
o There were no applicants present.
Personnel Board
o Edward Matchak was re-appointed.
Planning Commission
o Thomas O’Donnell was re-appointed.
o Joanne Talesfore was re-appointed.
Transportation and Parking Commission
o There were no appointments.
Council Discussion
Council directed Mazarin Vakharia, Clerk Administrator, to re-advertise for all vacant
positions, with the requirement that the recruitment for the Transportation and Parking
Commission and the Parks Commission conclude before the end of the year.
