RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL,
OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
AUTHORIZING THE TOWN MANAGER
TO ACCEPT THE DONATION OF AN OIL PAINTING
BY ARTIST LAURNA MERRIELL OFR THE LYNDON HOTEL
DONATED BY JOHN AND JANE KELLY
WHEREAS, Laurna Merriell was a member of the Art League of Los Gatos in the 1960s and
1970s and,
WHEREAS, Laurna Merriell wished to preserve the history of Los Gatos and,
WHEREAS, Ms. Merriell created an oil painting of the Hotel Lyndon shortly before its
demolition in 1963, and
WHEREAS, Laurna and John Merriell presented the fnished painting as a gift to John and Jane
Kelly, and,
WHEREAS, John and Jane Kelly wish to present the painting to the Town of Los Gatos.
RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos that the Town Manager is
authorized to accept the donation of the oil painting from John and Jane Kelly.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos,
California, held on thel7th day of April, 2006 by the following vote:
