RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL
OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
PROCLAIMING NATIONAL ARBOR DAY OBSERVANCE
WHEREAS, The Town of Los Gatos recognizes National Arbor Day, Friday Apri128, 2006;
WHEREAS, the Town of Los Gatos observes this national tree recognition day;
WHEREAS, The National Arbor Day Foundation in cooperation with the National
Association of State Foresters and the USDA Forest Service establish community forestry standards;
WHEREAS, the Town has established and observes the four National ArborDay Foundation
standards: a tree board or department, a tree care ordinance, a comprehensive community forestry
program and an Arbor Day observance;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
The Town of Los Gatos demonstrates a commitment to an effective, ongoing community forestry
program. The Town of Los Gatos renews its commitment to urban forestry efforts.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of
Los Gatos held on the 17"' day of April, 2006 by the following vote:
