RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
AUTHORIZING THE TOWN MANAGER TO ACCEPT A DONATION
FROM THE LOS GATOS/MONTE SERENO POLICE FOUNDATION
IN THE AMOUNT OF $48,800 FOR RADIO'S, FLASHLIGHTS,
A GPS TRACKER, K9 PROGRAM, CRIME SCENE SOFTWARE,
RESERVE TRAINING AND SWAT BALLISTIC VESTS.
WHEREAS, the Los Gatos/Monte Sereno Police Foundation desires to donate funds
to the Police Department with which the Police Department wishes to purchase equipment and
resources and provide training, and,
WHEREAS, the Police Department has specified that the donated funds be used to
purchase this equipment and resources and training, and,
WHEREAS, the Police Department will receive a donation from the Los
Gatos/Monte Sereno Police Foundation which will cover all costs of this equipment, resources and
training estimated at $48,800;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the Town of Los
Gatos, County of Santa Clara, State of California, that the Town Manager is authorized to accept a
donation from the Los Gatos/Monte Sereno Police Foundation in the amount of $48,800 for the
purpose of purchasing the above listed items.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a Regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of
Los Gatos, California, held on the 20`h day of October, 2008 by the following vote:
