SUBJECT: APPROVAL OF SPECIAL GIFT OPPORTUNITIES LIST TO BE USED BY
FRIENDS OF THE LOS GATOS LIBRARY IN THE CAPITAL CAMPAIGN
FOR THE NEW LOS GATOS LIBRARY
Staff would like to clarify that per the Council Ad Hoe Library Sub-Committee, the Council's
Solicitation and Donation Policy (Attachment 2 to the staff report) takes precedence over any
statements in the "Special Gift Opportunities "list. An example is the reference to the wording
on plaques recognizing donors' contributions. Inscriptions on plaques will be in accordance with
the wishes of the donor within the limitations stated in the Solicitation and Donation Policy.
