CHAPTER 29, DIVISION 6, SECTIONS 29.10.3000 THROUGH 29.10.3090
HOUSING ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
BACKGROUND:
Based on Town Council direction following approval of the Bay Tree Condominium conversion
project, over the past five months, staff has been working with the General Plan Committee, the
Community Services Commission, and the Planning Commission on a number of revisions to the
Below Market Price (BMP) Program. The Community Services Commission discussed the BMP
Program revisions on September 3, 2009, and the Planning Commission held a public hearing on
the draft program amendments on September 9, 2009. Both Commissions recoinrnended a
number of modifications to the draft guidelines and ordinance. Therefore, staff is recommending
additional time to draft the recommended changes for Town Council discussion and
consideration.
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the public hearing for an Ordinance Amending Town Code Chapter 29,
Division 6, Sections 29.10.3000 through 29.10.3040 Housing Assistance Program be continued
to the October 5, 2009, Town Council meeting.
