RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
ACCEPTING $100,000 OF FUNDS ALLOCATED TO THE CITY OF MONTE SERENO
FROM THE .PER CAPITA PROGRAM UNDER THE .SAFE NEIGHBORHOOD, CLEAN
WATER, CLEAN AIR AND COASTAL PROTECTION BOND ACT OF 2002 FOR
CONSTRUCTION OF'THE PROPOSED SKATEBOARD.PARK ON MILES AVE. IN
LOS GATOS
WHEREAS, the Town of Los Gatos submitted an application for grant funds
for the State Urban Parks and Healthy Communities program under the California
Clean Water, Clean Air, .Safe Neighborhood Parks, and Coastal Protection Act of 2002
for the construction of a skateboard park on the Town-owned parking lot on Miles Ave. ;
and
WHEREAS, the grant program requires at least 25% of the total prof ect costs
to be provided through a local match; and
WHEREAS, the City of Monte .Sereno adopted a resolution on November 16,
2004 (Exhibit A) allocating $100;000 of its share of Per Capita Program funds under
the 'Safe Neighborhood, Clean Water, Clean- Air and Coastal Protection Bond Act of
2002 to the Town of Los Gatos for the construction of the proposed skateboard park on
Miles Ave. in Los Gatos as part of the local match required for the Town's application
to the State Urban Parks and Healthy Communities program.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Council of Los Gatos
hereby:
Accepts the :$100,000 .allocation from the City of Monte Sereno of its share
of Per Capita Program funds under the Safe Neighborhood, Clean Water, Clean Air and
Coastal Protection Bond .Act of 2002 to the Town of Los Gatos for the .construction of
the proposed skateboard park on Miles Ave. in Los Gatos.

Town of Los Gatos, California, held on the 6`" day of December, 2004 by the following
vote:

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MONTE SERENO ALLOCATING ITS PER CAPITA FUNDS TO THE
TOWN OF LOS GATOS
WHEREAS, the City of Monte Sereno is a residential community of approximately 1.56 square
miles, which does not .include any public parks or recreational areas; and '' '"
WHEREAS, the City is adjacent to the Town of Los Gatos; and
WHEREAS, the residents of the City enjoy the public parks and recreational areas ofthe Town of
Los Gatos; and
WHEREAS, the City has been allocated $100,000 in Per Capita Program Funds under the Safe
Neighborhood, Clean Water, Clean Air and Costal :Protection Bond Act of 2002; :and
WHEREAS, the City would like to pass those funds to the Town for purposes of maintaining the
skateboard park and recreational area in the Town which are enjoyed by residents of the City.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MONTE SF,RENO as follows:
The City Council hereby passes $100,000 of funds allocated to the City of Monte Sereno from the
Per Capita Program Funds under the Safe Neighborhood, Clean Water, Clean Air and Costal Protection
Bond Act of 2002 Safe Neighborhood, Clean Water, Clean Air and Costal Protection Bond Act of 2002 to
the Town of Los Gatos.
This Resolution passed and adopted on the 16`h day of November, 2004, at a duly held meeting
of the City Council of the City of Monte Sereno 'by the following votes:
AYES: Councilmembers Baxter, Brodsky, Nesbet, Wright and Mayor Garner
