RESOLUTION 2004 - 36
.RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL
OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
PROCLAIMING NATIONAL .ARBOR DAY OBSERVANCE
WHEREAS, The Town of Los Gatos recognizes National Arbor Day, Friday ApriL30, 2004.;
WHEREAS, the Town of Los Gatos observes this national tree recognition day;
WHEREAS, The National Arbor Day Foundation in cooperation with the National
Association of State Foresters and the USDA Forest Service establish community forestrystandards;
WHEREAS, the Town has established and observes the four National Arbor Day Foundation
standards: a tree board or department, a tree care ordinance, a comprehensive community forestry
program and an Arbor Day observance;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
The Town of Los Gatos dem_ onstrates a commitment to an .effective, ongoing community forestry
program. The Town of Los Gatos renews its commitment to urban forestry efforts.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of
Los Gatos held on the 5t'' day of April, 2004 by the following vote:
