RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COITNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
AUTHORIZING THE TOWN MANAGER TO ACCEPT $9,394 AWARDED BY THE
BUREAU OF JUSTICE ASSISTANCE FOR LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT BLOCK
GRANT AND ADOPT RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE USE OF THOSE FUNDS
TO PURCHASE ANALYST'S NOTEBOOK SOFTWARE, TACTICAL VESTS AND
MATERIALS AND SUPPLIES FOR THE COMMUNITY EMERGENCY RESPONSE
TEAM
WHEREAS, the Local Law Enforcement Block Grant/Bureau of Justice Assistance has
awarded the Town of Los Gatos a grant with which the Town wishes to purchase Analyst's
Notebook software, tactical vests, .and materials and supplies for the Community Emergency
Response Team and,
WHEREAS, the Town has specified the grant funds would be used to purchase Analyst's
Notebook software, tactical vests, and materials and supplies for the Community Emergency
Response Team and,
WHEREAS., the Town of Los Gatos is entitled to receive .$9.,394 under the terms of the
Local Law Enforcement Block Grant/Bureau of Justice Assistance program if the Town agrees to
comply with financial and administrative requirements .set forth; and,
WHEREAS, the advisory board established tomake anon-binding recommendation to the
Town on the use of the :grant funds has recommended that the funds be used to purchase Analyst's
Notebook software, tactical vests, and materials and supplies for the Community Emergency
Response Team for the Los Gatos/Monte Sereno Police Department;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos,
County of Santa Clara, State of California, that the Town Manager is authorized to accept funds
from the Local Law Enforcement Block Grant/Bureau of Justice Assistance for the purpose of
purchasing Analyst's Notebook software, tactical vests, and materials and supplies for the
Community Emergency Response Team for the Los Gatos/Monte Sereno Police Department.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Los
Gatos, California, held on the 7~'' day of October, 2002 by the following vote:
