RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS AMENDING
EMPLOYEE COMPENSATION
WHEREAS, economic conditions in Santa Clara County have resulted in an extremely
competitive labor market,
recruitment,
WHEREAS, the Town has experienced difficulties with employee .retention and
WHEREAS, Town compensation levels need to be increased to improve the Town's
ability to retain and recruit well qualified employees to provide Town services,
RESOLVED„ that a general salary adjustment of approximately 4.5% is .granted to all
Town employees effective March 19, 2000;. and the Town Manager is authorized to make
appropriate changes to the Compensation Plan, and sign amendments to bargaining unit agreements
and other documents as necessary to implement this adjustment.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of
Los Gatos, California, held on the 6cn day of March, 2000 by the .following vote:
