RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
DECLARING RESULTS OF THE
SPECIAL 1VIUNICIPAL ELECTION OF
.MARCH 7, 2000
WHEREAS, a Special Municipal Election was held in the Town of Los Gatos on Tuesday,
the 7th day of March 7, 2000, and was conducted in form and manner as required by the law of the
State of California governing the elections of General Law Cities and;
WHEREAS, Kathryn J. Ferguson, Registrar of Voters of Santa Clara County has declared
that at the Statewide Primary Election held on March 7, 2000, and consolidated therewith, a Special
Municipal Election was held nthe TOWN OF LOS GATOS for the purpose of submitting Measures
B, C, D, E and F to the voters proposed to be annexed to said Town;
WHEREAS, the results of said Elections were canvassed by the Office of the Santa Clara
County Registrar of Voters in accordance with applicable provisions of the California Elections
Code and,
WI3EREAS, the Statement of Votes Cast, attached to the Certification (Exhibit A), shows
the whole number of votes cast for each measure in said Town and in each of the respective precincts
and,
WHEREAS, the total number ofregistered voters was 1,372 and the total number of votes
cast was 942 including absentee ballots for:
B Shall t11e order adopted onNovember 1,1999, by the Town Council of the
Town of Los Gatos ordering the annexation to the Town of Los Gatos of the
territory described in that order and designated as Blossom Hill Manor No.
8, be confirmed?
C Shall the order adopted on November 1, 1999, by the Town Council ofthe
Town of Los Gatos ordering the .annexation to the Town of Los Gatos of the
territory described in that order and .designated as Blossom Hill Manor No.
7, be confirmed?
I) Shall the order adopted on November 1.,1999; by the Town Council of the
Town of Los Gatos .ordering the annexation to the Town of.L,os Gatos of the
territory described in that order and designated as Camino del Cerro No. 10,
be confirmed?
E Shall the order adopted on November 1, 1999, by the Town Council of the
Town of Los Gatos ordering. the annexation to the Town of Los Gatos of the
territory described in that order and designated as Robie Lane No. 3, be
confirmed?
F Shall the order adopted on November 1, 1999„ by the Town Council of the
Town of Los Gatos ordering the annexation to the Town of Los Gatos of the
territory described in that order and designated as Marchmont Drive No. 1,
be confirmed?
That the titles of the measures voted for, the question that were voted on, and the number of votes
received by each measure in each of said precincts, together with the absentee votes, together with
the whole number of votes which they received in the entire Town of Los Gatos are as continued in
Exhibit B.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that I, Marian V. Cosgrove, duly elected Clerlc
of the Town of Los Gatos hereby .certify the Special Municipal Election held in the Town of Los
Gatos, :March 7, 200D.
RESOLVE FURTHER, that the Clerk shall enter upon the records of this Council the
results of said Special. Municipal Election.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Los
Gatos, California, held on the 17th day of April, 2000 by the following vote:
COUNCIL MEMBERS:
AYES; Randy Attaway, Linda Lubeck,
Joe Pirzynski and Mayor Steven Blanton.
NAYS: None
ABSENT: Jan Hutchins
ABSTAIN: None
