. RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL
OF THE'TOWN OF LOS GATOS
ORDERING THE VACATION OF :EXCESS .PUBLIC STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY
ON VILLA AVENUE ADJACENT TO THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT
220 EAST 1VIA1N STREET (APN; 529-34-068 & 5.29-34-094)
WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos has proceeded under the provisions
of Division 9, Chapter 4, Section 8334, et seq., of the Streets and Highways Code, concerning the
vacation of portions of excess public street right-of--way located in the Town of Los Gatos, County
of Santa Clara, State of California, consisting of an area of approximately 1,700 .square feet, and
located on Vi1laAvenue, adjacentto the property located at 220 EastMain Street{APN: 5.29-34-068
and 529-34-094) more particularly described on Exhibits "A" and "B" (Abandonment of a portion
of the right-of--way for Villa-Avenue), attached hereto, and generally shown on Exhibit "C", attached
hereto; and
WHEREAS, pursuantto the provisions of the Streets and Highways Code, Section 8334(a),
the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos declares that the right-of--way is excess and is not
needed for public street purposes.
RESOLVED, the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos finds from all of the evidence
submitted that the right-of--way is unnecessary for present or prospective public roadway purposes,

and hereby vacates the right-off way for street purposes. A Public Service Easement {P,S.E.) shall
be retained over the area.
FURTHER RESOLVED, the Town'Clerk shall cause a certified copy of this Order, attested
by her under the Seal of the Town, to be recorded in the Office of the County Recorder of the County
of Santa Clara. From and after the date this .resolution is recorded, the right-of--way shall no longer
constitute a public street right-of--way.
.PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Los
Gatos, California, held on the 17th day of April, 2000, by the following vote:.
