RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
REQUESTING THE :STATE OF CALIFORNIA PROVIDE FUNDING FOR THE
PURCHASE OF THE CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF FORESTRY'S .ALMA FIRE
STATION FACILITY AND ADOPT .RESOLUTION OPPOSING THE CLOSURE OF
'THE ALMA FIRE STATION
WHEREAS, the State of CaliforniaDepartment of General Services real estate division and
the current property owners of the site of the Alma Fire Station Facility are currently at impasse on
the purchase price of the property; and
WHEREAS,. the Town Council is opposed to the closure of the Alma Fire Station; and
WHEREAS, the TowmCouncl is requestngthat the State of California resume negotiations
for the purchase of the .facility and provide the necessary funding required to .complete the purchase;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos,
County of Santa Clara, State of California, as follows: that the Town of Los Gatos urges the
State of California Department of Forestry be provided the funding. to continue the operation of the
,Alma Fire Station, and the Town of Los Gatos would oppose any attempt to close the facility.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Los
Gatos, California, .held on the 10"' day of July, 2000 by the following vote:
