RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
DECLARING ELECTION RESULTS
OF THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION OF
NOVEMBER 7, 2000
WHEREAS, a General Municipal Election was held in the Town of Los Gatos on
Tuesday, the 7th day of November, 2000, and was conducted in .form and manner as reduired
by the law of the State of California governing the elections of General Law Cities and,
WHEREAS, Kathryn Ferguson, Registrar of Voters of Santa Clara County, has declared
that atthe Statewide Presidential General Election held on November 7, 2000, and consolidated
therewith, a General Municipal Election was held in the TOWN OF LOS GATOS for the
purpose of electing two (2) Council Members, one (1) Town Clerk and one (1) Town Treasurer
and,
WHEREAS, the results of said Elections were .canvassed by the Office of the Santa
Clara County Registrar of Voters in accordance with applicable provisions. of the California
Elections Code and,
WHEREAS, the Statement of Votes Cast, attached to the Certification as Exhibit A,
shows the whole number of votes cast for each candidate in said Town and in each of the
respective precincts and,
WHEREAS, the total number of registered voters was 19,501 and the total number of
votes cast was 14,706 including absentee ballots for
TWO (2) COUNCIL MEMBERS
ONE (1) 'TOWN CLERT~
ONE (1) TOWN TREASURER
That the names of the persons voted for, the offices for which they were voted, .and the number
of votes received by each of said persons in .each of said precincts, together with the absentee
votes, together with the whole number of votes which they received in the entire Town of Los
Gatos are as continued in Exhibit B.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that I, .Marian V. Cosgrove, duly elected
Clerk of the Town of Los Gatos hereby certify the election of:
SANDY DECKER, COUNCIL MEMBER
STEVE GLICKMAN, COUNCIL MEMBER
for the full term of four years expiring November, 2004;
.MARIAN V. COSGROVE, TOWN CLERK
for the full term of four years expiring November, 2004;
LINDA LUBECI~, TOW1V TREASURER
for the full term of four years expiring November, 2004;
RESOLVE FURTHER, that t11e Cleric shall enter upon the records of this Council the
results of said General Municipal Election and shall deliver to each person elected a Certificate
of Election duly signed and authenticated by her and she shall impose the Constitutional Oath
and have them subscribe thereon, whereupon, they shall be inducted to the respective offices
to which they have been elected.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council ofthe Town of Los
Gatos, California, held on the 4th day of December, 2000 by the following vote:

I, Kathryn J. Ferguson, Registrar of Voters of the County of Santa Clara, State of
California, hereby declare that a GENERAL ELECTION was held in the TOWN OF LOS
GATOS and consolidated with the Statewide Generaf Election on November 7, 2000, for
the purpose of electing the Town Clerk, the Town Treasurer and two members to the Town
Council of said town; and to wit:
That the results of said Election were canvassed by the Office of the Santa. Clara
County Registrar of Voters in accordance with applicable ,provisions of the California
Elections Code; and,
That the Statement of Votes Cast, to which this Certificate is attached, shows the
total number of votes for each candidate for said seats in the TOWN OF LOS GATOS, and
