RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
ORDERING AND CALLING FOR THE ANNEXATION
CONFIRMATION ELECTIONS TO BE :HELD ON 'MARCH 7, 2000;
REQUESTING SANTA CLARA COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
TO AUTHORIZE REGISTRAR OF VOTERS TO PROVIDE
ELECTION SERVICES FOR MARCH 7, 2000 PRIMARY ELECTION;
REQUESTING CONSOLIDATION OF ELECTIONS
AND SPECIFYING CERTAIN PROCEDURES OF THE CONSOLIDATED ELECTION; AND
PROVIDING FOR GIVING NOTICE OF .ELECTION
FOR THE PURPOSE OF ANNEXATION OF THE AREAS KNOWN AS
BLOSSOM HILL MANOR NO. 8, BLOSSOM HILL MANOR NO. 7,
CAMTNO DEL CERRO NO. 10, ROBIE .LANE NO. 3
AND MARCHMONT DRIVE NO. 1 TO THE TOWN OF LOS GAT'OS.
WHEREAS, a statewide election will be held on March 7, 2000; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Part 4 of Division 3 of the California 'Government Code, an
annexation election may be consolidated with a statewide election;
RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos that pursuant to Elections Code
Section 10002, the Town Council hereby requests the Board of Supervisors of the County of Santa
Clara to make available the services of the Registrar of Voters for the purpose of performing the
usual services necessary in the consolidated primary annexation election, including the provisions
of election supplies and voters' pamphlets.
FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos, that pursuant
to Elections Code, Commencing with Section 10400, the Town Council hereby requests the Board
of Supervisors of the County of Santa Clara to order the consolidation of the primary election to be
conduction with the boundaries. of those certain areas proposed :for annexation to the Town of Los.
Gatos know as Blossom Hi1LManor No. 8, Blossom Hill .Manor No. 7, Camino del Cerro No. 10,
Robie .Lane No. 3 and Marchmont 'Drive No. 1 on March 7, .2000., with respect to which the Board
of Supervisor of the County of Santa Clara has the power to order consolidation. The Town Council
further consents to and orders the consolidation of the annexation election called with the statewide
primary election. Upon consolidation, the consolidated election shall be held and conducted,
election officers appointed, voting precincts designated, ballots printed, polls opened at 7:00 a.m.
and closed at 8:00 p.m., ballots counted and returned, returns canvassed, and all other proceeding
in connection the election shall be regulated and done by the Registrar of Voters of the County of
Santa Clara in accordance with the provisions of law regulating the :elections so consolidated.
FINALLY RESOLVED,-that the questions to be submitted at the election pursuant to
Section 5713.3 of the California Government Code shall be substantially the following form:
1, Shall the order adopted on November 1, 1999, by the Town Council of the Town of Los
Gatos ordering the annexation to the Town of Los Gatos of the territory described in that
order and designated as Blossom Hill Manor No. 8 be confirmed?
2. Shall the order adopted on November 1, 1999,, by the Town Council of the Town of Los
Gatos ordering the annexation to the Town of Los Gatos of the territory described in that
order and.designated as Blossom Hill Manor No. 7 be confirmed?
3. Shall the order adopted on November 1, :1999, by the Town Council of the Town of Los
Gatos ordering the annexation to the Town of .Los Gatos of the territory described in that
order and .designated as Camino del Cerro No. 10 be confirmed?
4. Shall the order adopted on November 1, 1999, by the Town Council of the Town of Los
Gatos ordering the annexation to the Town of Los Gatos of the territory .described in that
order and designated as Robie Lane No. 3 be confirmed?
5. Shall the order adopted on November L, 1999, by the Town Council of the Town of Los
Gatos ordering the :annexation to the Town of .Los Gatos of the territory described in that
order and designated as Marchmont Drive No. 1 be confirmed?

Gatos, California, held on the 15t day of November, 1999 by the following vote: '
