A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AMENDMENT TO
LEASE S4I TH LOS GATOS MUSEUM ASSOCIATION.
RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos,
County of Santa Clara, State of C ali£ornia, that the TOWN OF
LOS GATOS enter into that Amendment to Lease with the LOS GATOS
MUSEUM ASSOCIATION, a copy of which is attached hereto, and
that the Mayor is authorized and she is hereby directed to
execute said Amendment to Lease in the name and in behalf o£
the Town of Los Gatos.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of
the Town Council o£ the Town o£ Los Gatos held on the 2nd
day of January 1973, by the following vote:

AMENDF9ENT TO LEASE
Paragraph 4. of the lease of the premises at the corner
of Tait and Main Streets made the 18th day of Oetober, 1971
by the TOWN OF LOS GATOS to the LOS GATOS MUSEUM ASSOCIATION,
is hereby amended to read:
4. Use of Premises: The premises are leased to the
ASSOCIATION for the sole purpose of the ASSOCIATION'S operating
a museum of natural history, cultural history or art, or any
combination of the Foregoing. The ASSOCIATION shall not use
or permit the use of any part or all of the premises For any
other purpose. As part of the consideration For this lease,
the ASSOCIATION shall maintain museum exhibits for public view,
open to the public withnit charge, Monday through Saturday of
each week excluding holidays, From 1:00 P.M, to 5:00 P,M.,
provided 'that during winter months the Museum Board in its
discretion may fix a4:-00 p.M, closing time. The ASSOCIATION
shall have the right to prescribe reasonable rules and regulations
concerning its operation and the admission of visitors. In
addition to the days and hours during which the ASSOCIATION is
required to keep the Museum open to the public, the ASSOCIATION
may open the Museum for exhibition to the general public or to
limited groups upon such terms as the ASSOCIATION may direct.
The purpose of this amendment is to modi Fy the hours of
re quirnd operation of the Museum only, and the October 18, 1971
lease shall, except as expressly modified hereby, remain in e Ffect.
