ORDINANCE NO. 570
AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
UNINHABITED TERRITORY, DESIGNATED
"ROBERTS ROAD NUMBER FOUR ANNEXATION"
TO THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS*.
WHEREAS- on the 17thday of October , 19 69, the Council
of the Town of Los Gatos did pass and-adopt a Resolution giving
notice of the proposal to annex certain uninhabited territory to the
-Town of Los Gatos, said territory being therein designated as
Pni3r Annexation" , and said action being
taken by the Council of said Town as the legislative body of the
Town pursuant to a written petition therefore, said Resolution
describing the boundaries of the territory so proposed to be
annexed to said Town; and
WHEg.EAS, said Resolution did contain a notice of the
clay, hour and place when and where the said Council of said Town
would.hear protests made by any person owning real property with-
in the territory proposed to be annexed, the time of said hearing
being not less than twenty nor more than sixty days from the date
of the passage of said Resolution; and
WHEREAS, on the 28th day of Nolvember 19--ko,
at the hour of 8:00 o'clock -p,m. in the Los Gatos Council
Chambers in the Town Hall of the Town of Los Gatos, County of

to said annexation/ the said Council of said Town did hear and
pass upon all protests made to said proposed annexation and did
determine that no protests to said proposed annexation have been
made by or on behalf of the owners of one-half of the value of
the territory proposed to be annexed as shown by the equalized
roll, nor by public and private owners of equal to one-half of

the value of the territory proposed to be annexed as determined by
said legislative body; and
WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the Town of
Los Gatos, and is uninhabited territory in the County of Santa
Clara, and all of the procedural requirements of the annexation of
Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, particularly Government Code
Sections 35300 and 35314 inclusive have been fully complied with;
NOW, THEREFORE, the said Council of the Town of Los Gatos
does hereby approve the annexation of sai& territory, hereinafter
described, to the Town of Los Gatos and does hereby further ordain
that the said territory be and is hereby annexed to the 'town of Los
Gatos.
That said territory, the annexation of which to the
Town of Los Gatos is hereby approved, is all that territory situate
in the County of Santa Clara, State of California, more particularly
described as follows:

BEGINNING at the Northeasterly corner of Lot 31 of the
subdivision shown upon that certain map entitled, "Amended Map of
the Mitchell Addition", which map was filed for record in the office
of the Recorder of the County of Santa Clara, State of California,
on March 21, 1894, in Book H of Maps, Page 39, said point of begin-
ning bes_g also in the Town Limits line of the Town of Los Gatos;
THENCE, following the exterior boundaries of said Lot 31,
Mitchell Addition, Southerly and Westerly to the Southeasterly corner
of Lot 30, Mitchell Addition;
THENCE, Westerly along the Southerly line of said Lot 30,
Mitchell Addition and further Westerly along the Southerly line of
Lot 29, Mitchell. Addition to the point of intersection with the
Easterly line of Rose Street as said street is shown on the map of
the hereinbef ore mentioned Mitchell Addition;
THENCE, Southerly along the Easterly line of said .Rose
Street to the point of intersection with the Northerly line of
the Nino Tract, the map of which was filed for record in the office
of the Recorder of the County of Santa Clara, State of California,
on November 20, 1920, in Book Q of Maps, Page 29, said point being
also a point in the Town Limits line of the Town of Los Gatos;
THENCE, Westerly along the Northerly line of said Nino Tract
and along the Town Limits line of the Town of Los Gatos to the point
of intersection with the Easterly line of Lot 1 of Roberts Subdivision
the map of which was filed for record in the office of the Recorder
of the County of Santa Clara, State of California, on August 20,
1896, in Book I of Maps, at page 41, records of said County;
THENCE, continuing along the Town Limits line of the Town of
Los Gatos and along the Easterly line of said Lot 1, Roberts Sub-
division, Northerly to the point of intersection with the Southeast-
erly line of Roberts Road, as the same now exists;
THENCE, leaving the Town. Limits line of the Town of Los Gatos
and following the Southeasterly line of Roberts Road, Northeasterly
and Northerly to the point where the Southeasterly line becomes the
Southerly line df said Roberts Road;

THENCE, following said Southerly line of Roberts Road Easterly
to the point of intersection with the Southerly prolongation of the
Easterly line of that certain parcel of land conveyed in the Deed
from Arch W. Forst, et al to Edgard L. V. Clark, et tax, recorded
June 1, 1960, in Book 4811 of Official Records, at page 521,
Santa Clara County Records.;
THENCE, Northerly along said Southerly prolongation of said
Easterly line of said Clark parcel and along the Easterly line of
said Clark parcel to the Northeasterly corner thereof, being also
a point in the Town Limits line of the Town of Los Gatos;
THENCE, following the Town Limits line of the Town of Los
Gatos Easterly and Southerly to the point of intersection with the
Southerly line of said hereinbef ore mentioned Roberts Road, as the
same now exists;
THENCE, Easterly along the Southerly line of said Roberts Road
and along the Town Limits line of the Town of Los Gatos to the
point of beginning.
