AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
UNINHABITED TERRITORY, DESIGNATED
FEWEST SIDE NUMBER THREE ANNEXATION"
TO THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS :
WHEREAS on the 6th day of September 19 50 , the Council
of the Town of Los Gatos did pass and adopt a Resolution giving -
notice of the proposal to annex certain uninhabited territory to the
.-Town of Los Gatos, said territory being therein designated as
"WEST SIDE NUMBER THREE ANNEXATION" , and said action being
taken by the Council of said Town as the legislative body of the
Town pursuant to a written petition therefore, said Resolution
describing the boundaries of the territory so proposed to be
annexed to said Town; and
WHEREAS, said Resolution did contain ,2 notice of the
day, hour and place when and where the said Council of said Town
would hear protests made by any person owning real property with-,
in the territory proposed to be annexed, the time of said hearing
being not less than twenty nor more than sixty days from the date
of the passage of said Resolution; and
WHEREAS, on, the 3rd _day of October 190
at the hour of 8:00 o'clock P.M. in the Los Gatos Council
Chambers in the Town Hall of the Town of Los Gatos, County of
Santa `Nara, State of California, said time and place being the
day, hour and place fixed in said Resolution for hearing protests
to said annexation, the said Council of said Town did hear and
pass upon all protests made to said proposed annexation and did
determine that no protests to said proposed annexation have been
made by or on behalf of the owners of one-half of the value of
the territory proposed to be annexed as shown by the equalized
roll, nor by public and private owners of equal to one-half of

the value of the territory proposed to be annexed as determined by
said legislative body; and
WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the Town of
Los Gatos, and is uninhabited territory in the County of Santa
Clara, and all of the procedural requirements of the annexation of
Uninhabited Territory Act of 1339, particularly Government Code
Sections 35300 and 35314 inclusive have been fully complied with;
NOW THEREFORE the said Council of the Town of Los Gatos

does hereby approve the annexation of said territory, hereinafter
described, to the Town of Los Gatos and does hereby further ordain
that the zaid territory be and is hereby annexed to the Town of Los
Gatos.
That said territory, the annexation of which to the
Town of Los Gatos is hereby approved, is all that territory situate
in the County of Santa Clara, State of California, more particularly
described as follows:

Beginning on the Northwesterly Town Limits line of the Town of
Los Gatos at the point of intersection with the Southerly line of Manzanita
Avenue, as said Avenue is shown upon that certain Map entitled "Glen Ridge
Park Subdivision, Block T', which map was filed for record in the Office of
the Recorder of the County of Santa Clara, State of California, on May 24, 1909,
in Book M of Maps, Page 63;
Thence, following the Southerly line of said Manzanita Avenue, South-
westerly to the point of intersection with the Southerly prolongation of the
Westerly line of that certain parcel of land described in the Deed from
Donald C. Edson, et ux to Stanley M. Wear, et ux, recorded February 15, 19609
in Book 4694 of Official Records, at page 388, Santa Clara County Records;
Thence, Northerly along the Southerly prolongation of the Westerly
line of said Weir parcel and along the Westerly line of said Weir parcel to the
Northwesterly corner thereof;
Thence, Northeasterly along the Northerly line of said Weir parcel
to the point of intersection with the Westerly line of that certain parcel of
land described in the Deed from Norbert C. Ertell, et ux to Raymond J. Ewan,
et ux, recorded November 13, 1958, in Book 4228 of Official Records, at page
528, Santa Clara County Records;
Thence, Northerly along the Westerly line of said Egan parcel to the
Northwest corner thereof;
Thence, Northeasterly along the Northerly line of said Ewan parcel
and Northeasterly along the Northeasterly prolcngation of said Northerly line
of said Ewan parcel to the point of intersection with the Westerly line of Lot
15 of said hereinbefore mentioned Glen Ridge Park Subdivision, Block 7;
Thence, following the exterior boundaries of said Lot 15, Glen Ridge
Park Subdivision, Block 7, in a generally Southerly direction to the point of
intersection with the Northwesterly Town Limits line of the Town of Los Gatos;
Thence, following the Northwesterly Town. Limits line of the Town of
Los Gatos; Southwesterly to the point of beginning.
