AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
UNINHABITED TERRITORY, DESIGNATED
"LA RINCONADA NUMBER ONE ANNEXATION"
TO THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS DOES ORDAIN
AS FO jLVvlS :
WHEREAS on the 6th day of September, 19 6€3, the Council
of the T+_-wn of Los Gatos did pass and adopt a Resolution giving
notice of the proposal to annex certain uninhabited territory to the
-mown of Los Gatos, said territory being therein designated as
"LA RINCONADA NUMBER ONE ANNEXATION" , and said action being
taken by the Council of said Town as the legislative body of the
Town pursuant to a written petition therefore, said Resolution
describing the boundaries of the territory so proposed to be
annexed to said Town; and
WHEPXAS, said Resolution did contain a notice of the
day, hour and. Mace when and where the said Council of said Town
would hear protests made by any person owning real property with-
in the territory proposed to be annexed, the time of said hearing
being not less than twenty nor more than sixty days from the date
of the passage of said Resolution; and
WHEREAS, on the 3rd dap of October , 19 60,
at the hour of 5:00 o'clock P.M. in the Los Gatos Council
Chambers in the Town Hall of the Town of Los Gatos, County of
Santa ,lara, State of California, said time and place being the
day, hour and place fixed in said Resolution for blearing protests
to said annexation, the said Council of said Town dial hear and
pass upon all protests made to said proposed annexation and did
determine that no protests to said proposed annexation have been
made by or on behalf of the owners of one-half of the value of
the territory proposed to be annexed as shown by the equalized
roll, nor by public and private owners of equal to one-half of

the value of the territory proposed to be annexed as determined by
said legislative body; and
WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the Town of
Los Gatos, and is uninhabited territory in the County of Santa
Clara, and all of the procedural requirements of the annexation of
Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, particularly Government Code
Sections 35300 and 55314 inclusive have been fully complied with;
NOW.9 THEREFO E, the said Council of the Town of Los Gatos
does hereby approve the annexation.of said territory, hereinafter
described, to the Town of Los Gatos and does hereby further ordain
that the chid territory be and is hereby annexed to the Town of Las
Gatos.
That said territory, the annexation of which to the
Town of Los Gatos is hereby approved, is all that territory situate
in the County of Santa Clara, State of California, more particularly
described as follows:

BEGINNING at the Southeasterly corner of Lot 15 of the
subdivision shown upon that certain map entitled "Country Club
Vistas", which map was filed for record in the office of the Recorder
of the County of Santa Clara, State of California, on August 22,
1950, in Book 30 of daps, Pages 16 and 17;
THENCE, following the exterior boundaries of said Country
Club Vistas subdivision Northeasterly to the Southeasterly corner
of Lot 12, of said Country Club Vistas subdivision;
THENCE, following the exterior boundaries of said Lot 12,
Country Club Vistas subdivision Westerly, Northerly and Easterly to
the Southeast corner of Lot il, of said Country Club Vistas subdivi-
sion;
THENCE, continuing on and following the exterior boundaries of
said Country Club Vistas subdivision Northwesterly to a point being
the Southwesterly corner of that certain parcel of land as described
in the Indenture between Elizabeth Mundhenke, party of the first part;
and Elizabeth M. Disque, party of the second part, dated August 5,
1916, recorded October 24, 1922, in Book 564 of Deeds, Page 167,
Santa Clara County .Records, last said corner being also a point in
the Town Limits line of the Town of Los Gatos, California, as the
same now exists;
THENCE, following on and along the Town Limits line of the
Town of Los Gatos, as the same now exists, Easterly, Northerly,
Easterly, Southerly and Westerly to the point of intersection with
the Easterly line of Santa Clara-Los Gatos .Road, as the same now
exists;
THENCE, continuing along the Town Limits line of the Town of
Los Gatos and following the Easterly line of said Santa Clara-Los
Gatos Rfad, as the same now exists, in a direction generally south-
erly, to the point of intersection with the northerly line of Lot 5
as said lot is shown upon that map entitled "Vasona Heights", which
map is filed for record in Book M of Maps at page 89, Santa Clara
County Records;
THENCE, leaving the present Town Limits line of the Town of

Los Gatos and continuing Southerly along the Easterly line of the
Santa Clara-Los Gatos Road, as the same now exists, to the point
of intersection with the Southeasterly prolongation of the
centerline of La Rinconada Drive, as said Drive is shown upon the
hereinbefore mentioned map of Country Club Vistas subdivision;
THENCE, Northwesterly along said Southeasterly prolongation of
said centerline of said La Rinconada Drive, and continuing North-
westerly and Westerly along said centerline of said La Rinconada
Drive, to the point of intersection with the Southwesterly prolong-
ation of the Easterly line of said hereinbefore mentioned Lot 15, of
Country Club Vistas subdivision;
TrYENCE, Northeasterly along said Southwesterly prolongation
of said Easterly line of said Lot 15, Country Club Vistas subdivision
to the point of beginning.
