AN ORDINANCE JAMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 283
OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS ENTITLED 'IAN
ORDINANCE LICENSING TRANSACTION AND
CARRYING ON OF CERTAIN BUSINESSES, TRADES
PROFESSIONS, CALLINGS AND OCCUPATIONS
IN THE TWN OF LOS GATOS, FOR THE PURPOSE
OF RAISING MUNICIPAL REVENUE AND PROVID-
ING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF. as
The Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos does ordain
as follows:
Section 1. That Section 57 of the above entitled
Ordinance passed and adopted by the Town Council of the Town
of Los Gatos on the second day of June, 1947, be, and the
same is hereby, amended to read as follojjs:
Section 57. Every person engaged in the business
of operating, maintaining or letting the use of any coin-
operated vending machine for the dispensing of goods, wares
or merchandise or other tangible property within the Town of
Los Gatos shall pay an annual license tax as follows:
(a) For each one cent vending machine where
the value of the product vended does not exceed one cent, one
dollar per year.
(b) For each five cent vending machine where
the value of the product vended does not exceed five cents,
two dollars year.
(c) For all other types of vending machines,
five dollars per year for each vending machine.
The provisions of this Section shall not apply to
machines which are entirely owned by the owner or operator
of the premises where installed and said person is otherwise
licensed under the provisions of this Ordinance.
Section 2. This Ordinance shall be published once in
Los Gatos Daily Timag , a newspaper of general cir-
culation, printed and published in the Town of Los Gatos.

The above and foregoing Ordinance was duly and
regularly introduced at a continued regular meeting of the
Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos held on the 25th day
of June, 1951, and was thereafter on the day of July,
1951, duly and regularly adopted by the following vote:
