TOWN COUNCIL The Town Council of. the Town of Los Gatos met in the Counci l
Chambers of the Town Hall at 8 :15 p .m . in a continued regula r
sessio n
ROLL CALL PRESENT : Ruth Cannon, MarLyn J . Rasmussen, Peter W . Siemens ,
Brent N . Ventura and Mayor Thomas J . Ferrito .

BUDGET .Town Manager, William H . Avery, stated the budget has been
1980-81 prepared as approved by Council through study session and th e
Resolution for adoption is before them tonight . Mr . Siemen s
moved Council adopt Resolution No . 1980-86 entitled,A
RESOLUTION ADOPTING BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 1980-81 (with limit -
ations) which includes a 10z% increase for all managemen t
employees except the department heads and Town Attorney . Mr .
Ventura seconded . Carried by vote of three ayes, Mrs . Canno n
and Mrs . Rasmussen voting no .. Mayor Ferrito stated he fee l
it's time the town staff be responsive to the needs of th e
whole community and be accountable to the community throug h
their elected representatives .
SUPPLEMENTAL Mr . Siemens moved the following appropriations be approved :
APPROPRIATIONS $ 5,000 for account 10-17-529 (General Services )
10,000 for account 10-23-535 (General Town Administration )
Mr . Ventura seconded . Unanimously carried .
BUL Mr . Siemens moved that Council request department heads t o
198 . i submit Goal and Objective Statements to Council for the meeting
of August 4,1980 . Mrs . Cannon seconded . Unanimously carried .
BUSINESS Manager to report to Council on July 21, 1960, re the feasibilit y
LICENSES of increasing business licenses for certain establishment s
under the Proposition 13 guidelines .
ADJOURNMENT Mr . Ventura moved meeting be adjourned at 8 :25 P .m ..
