TOWN COUNCIL The Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos met in the Counci l
Chambers of the Town Hall at 5 :07 p .m .,in a continued regular
session .
ROLL CALL PRESENT : Ruth Cannon, MarLyn J . Rasmussen, and Brent N . Ventura .
ABSENT : Thomas J . Ferrito and Mayor Peter W . Siemens .
CANVASS OF The Town Clerk's Office has received the certificate from th e
ELECTION RETURNS Registrar of Voters on Results of Canvass of Election return s
and a resolution declaring the results has been prepared . Mrs .
Rasmussen moved for adoption of Resolution No .1981-122 entitled ,
A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE SPECIAL MUNICIPA L
ELECTION HELD MAY 12,1981 .The total number of registere d
voters was 16,548 .The total number of votes cast was 6,42 7
including absentee ballots for a measure submitted as follows :
"Shall Ordinance No . 1485 ,an ordinance rezoning to Planne d
Development (PD) the property located at 612 West Parr Avenu e
in the Town of Los Gatos, commonly known as the Villa Vasona ,
be effective?" The votes cast, together with the absente e
votes, in the entire Town and received in each of said precincts ,
are as follows :

R-1 :8,000 TO R-1 :8,000-PS . Mrs . Rasmussen seconded .
Unanimously carried .
Mayor Siemens arrived at 5 :12 p .m .
The proposed urgency ordinance was circulated to Counci l
audience for review . It was stated this ordinance woul d
give control to Council as the School District would b e
required to apply for a Conditional Use Permit befor e
leasing office space . Mrs . Rasmussen moved reading b e
waived for said urgency ordinance . Mrs . Cannon seconded .
Unanimously carried . After further discussion, Mrs .
Cannon moved for adoption of Ordinance No . 1502 entitled ,
AN URGENCY INTERIM ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF LO S
GATOS REQUIRING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR ALL USES I N
THE PS (PUBLIC SCHOOL OVERLAY) ZONE . Mrs . Rasmusse n
seconded . Unanimously carried .
Mrs . Rasmussen moved for appointment of Marilyn Bass t o
replace Tim Coughlin on the Town Advisory Committee . Mr .
Ventura seconded . Unanimously carried .
Mrs . Rasmussen moved meeting be adjourned at 5 :20 p .m ..
