THE TOWN MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH THE COUNTY OF SANTA CLARA RELATING TO THE GOALS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE COUNTY REGIONAL PUBLIC AND INTERNAL NOTIFICATION SYSTEM RECOMMENDATION:
Adopt resolution authorizing the Town Manager to execute an agreement with the COlUlty of Santa Clara relating to the goals and objectives ofthe County Regional Public and Internal Notification
System. DISCUSSION: The County is sponsoring a countywide Regional Public and Internal Notification System ("System") for the primary purpose of providing a method of timely emergency
communication with the public and local public agency employees. In order to extend the System to local public agencies, an agreement is proposed to establish the terms of usc and governance
of the System. Under a proposed agreement, the County would control the use ofthe ofthe System, which would be made available to cities and other local public agencies within the County.
The agreement would be effective as of the date of the last signature on the agreement and may be terminated by any party upon thiliy (30) days notice to the other parties. The County
would agree to provide access to the System at no charge during the term of the agreement to parties that agree to the terms and conditi011s of a proposed agreement. The agreement and

RESOLUTION NO. RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TOWN MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH THE COUNTY OF SANTA CLARA RELATING TO THE GOALS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE COUNTY REGIONAL PUBLIC AND INTERNAL
NOTIFICATION SYSTEM WHEREAS: The agreement is intended to establish governance and terms for access and use of ConnectCTY service. The County is sponsoring a countywide Regional Public
and Internal Notification System ("System") for the primary intent of providing timely communication to the public and its employees. The County will control the use and access and is
making the System available to cities and agencies within the County of Santa Clara. The agreement shall be effective as of the date of the last signature on the agreement. A party may
terminate the agreement in whole by providing thirty (30) days notice to the other party. No amendments, changes, modifications shall be made without prior express Wl·itten consent ofboth
pmiies. Amendments shall not be effective or binding unless approved by the county Director ofEmergency Preparedness or authorized designee. County agrees to provide the party with access
to the System at no charge during the term ofthe agreement only if they agree to the Agreement's terms and conditions. RESOLVE)): That the Town Manager is authorized to execute an agreement
