2007
RECOMMENDATION:
Discuss transportation priorities in preparation for a presentation to Santa Clara Valley
Transportation Agency's (VTA) Policy Advisory Committee in September, 2007.
BACKGROUND:
The VTA's Policy Advisory Committee (PAC) is compromised of elected officials from
municipalities in Santa Clara County along with representatives from VTA. This committee sets
policy and guidelines for long-range transportation planning in Santa Clara County.
In 2005, PAC identified a need for their committee to receive current transportation-related
information from each municipality in Santa Clara County. PAC has requested that each
community present information about its transportation needs and priorities. PAC will use this
information to formulate long-range plans for funding and allocation of resources countywide.
Council member Steve Glickman is the current Town representative and chairperson of the PAC.
