ITEM doe Reviewed by: Assistant Town Manager Town Attorney Clerk Administrator Finance Community Development To: Kevin Rohani and Los Gatos Town Council krohani@losgatosca.gov From: Anne Lamborn, owner of adjacent property on West Roberts Road, abutting the Roberts Road Bridge Date: March 19, 2007 REGARDING: ROBERTS ROAD BRIDGE Gentlemen: I have some comments, regarding the Roberts Road Bridge. My property is 7 Monroe Court with frontage on West Roberts Road abutting the Roberts Road Bridge. 1. For real estate value, I would like to preserve the possibility of access to a town maintained street, which is Roberts Road. I would like to be able to have vehicular access from Roberts Road, should I or someone else wish to develop the property, which is zoned multiple family. 2. My current vehicular access street is Monroe Court, which is a privately maintained marginal lane. 3. From a personal viewpoint, I like having the bridge closed. The skateboarding and hangout problem potential was much less than I had expected. 4. Historically, I noticed that the garbage trucks and other large trucks ignored the vehicular weight restrictions. 5. 1 support many speed bumps and swails to calm the traffic, if a bridge is indeed opened ever. 6. No matter what, expert landscape design and lighting should be incorporated. 7. Public art should be part of the bridge design.
