ADOPT RESOLUTION CERTIFYING THE NOVEMBER 7, 2006 LOS
GATOS GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION
RECOMMENDATION:
Adopt a resolution certifying the November 7, 2006 Los Gatos General Municipal Election.
BACKGROUND & DISCUSSION:
The attached resolution certifies the November 7, 2006 General Municipal Election for Council
Members Diane McNutt, Joe Pirzynski, and Mike Wasserman. It is expected that the Santa
Clara County Registrar of Voters will forward its official certification regarding the election
results to the Town in December 2006.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The cost of the November 7, 2006 election is anticipated to be $27,000. Adequate funds were
budgeted for this expense in FY2006/07 Operating Budget.

RESOLUTION 2006-
RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
CERTIFYING THE NOVEMBER 7, 2006 GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION
WHEREAS, the November 7, 2006 General Municipal Election was conducted in form and
manner as required by the law of the State of California governing the elections of General Law Cities;
and
WHEREAS, the Santa Clara County Registrar of Voters declared that a statewide General
Election was held on November 7, 2006, and consolidated therewith was a General Municipal Election
held in the Town of Los Gatos the purpose of electing three (3) Council Members; and
WHEREAS, the results of said elections were canvassed by the Santa Clara County Registrar of
Voters in accordance with applicable provisions of the California Elections Code; and
WHEREAS, the total number of Los Gatos registered voters was 17,963 and Council Members
Mike Wasserman, Diane McNutt; and Joe Pirzynski received 8,583, 6,637, and 6,010 votes, respectively,
representing the top three total votes cast; and
WHEREAS, the election results have been certified by the Santa Clara County Registrar of
Voters as reflected in Exhibit A; and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that I, Jackie Rose, Clerk Administrator for the
Town of Los Gatos hereby certify the election for the following Council Members for the full term of four
years expiring November 2010:
DIANE MCNUTT, COUNCIL MEMBER
JOE PIRZYNSKI, COUNCIL MEMBER
MIKE WASSERMAN, COUNCIL MEMBER
BE IT RESOLVED FURTHER, that the Clerk Administrator shall record the results of said
General Municipal Election and perform all other certification duties as required by the California
Elections Code.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos,
California, held on the 4`h day of December, 2006 by the following vote:
