SUBJECT: VERBAL REPORT ON MARCH 1, 2006 MERCHANT MEETING
REGARDING MAIN STREET PROJECTS AND OVERVIEW OF
CONCEPTUAL PLAN FOR PARKING LOT #5
Staff from the Parks and Public Works Department will present a verbal report on the
March 1, 2006 meeting with merchants and residents regarding the projects planned for
Main Street this spring and summer. The projects include:
■ Repaving and improvements to Parking Lot #5
■ Replacement of water pipes along the Los Gatos Creek Trail in the vicinity of
Main St. (a San Jose Water Company project)
■ Installation of underground telecommunications and electric conduit along Main
St.
■ Sidewalk replacement along portions of Main St.
■ Repaving of Main St. from Santa Cruz Ave. to Loma Alta
Staff will make a brief PowerPoint presentation about the projects and meeting
participants' comments, followed by Council comments and questions.
