SUBJECT: APPOINTMENTS TO BOARDS, COMMISSIONS, AND COMMITTEES.
RECOMMENDATION:
1. Conduct appointment process for Art Selection Panel; Arts Commission; Building Board of
Appeals; Community Services Commission; General Plan Committee; Library Board; Parks
Commission; Planning Commission, and Rent Advisory Committee.
2. Direct Clerk Administrator to re-advertise any vacant positions following the appointments
on November 7, 2005.
DISCUSSION:
Interviews for Boards, Commissions, and Committees were held at the Special Meeting on October,
24, 2005 Town Council Meeting.
Candidates for the Planning Commission, Steven Rice, and Building Board of Appeals, Salvatore
Leonardi, were not available for interviews on October 24, 2005, and requested to be interviewed
on November 7, 2005 prior to the Council Meeting. Council concurred with this request.
Candidates (non-incumbents) who did not appear for interviews without prior notification are
disqualified from consideration for this round of appointments.
Incumbents Sol Carson, Art Selection Panel; Tom Kane and TomDodge, Building Board of appeals;
and William Kraus, Rent Advisory Committee were not present for interviews on October 24, 2005.
These incumbents have requested to be included as part of the appointment process on November
7, 2005.
