FIGONE, TOWN MANAGER ADOPTCOUNCIL COMMITTEEAPPOINTMENTS EFFECTIVE JANUARY2005 Adopt Council Committee Appointments effective January 2005. DISCUSSION: Mayor Mike Wasserman has appointed Council Members to Town boards and committees and various regional commissions, boards, and committees as shown on the attached Council Committee Appointment Roster (Attachment No.1). The attached roster reflects a temporary change to the Solid Waste Management Joint Powers Agency (JPA) Board ofDirectors, requesting that the 2005 appointee serve for approximately two years. The JPA Board of Directors would like to ensure a level of consistency on the Board as it will be issuing Request for Proposals (RFPs) to obtain new solid waste. contracts. The existing contracts will expire in March 2007. Also attached is a list of Council Ad Hoc Committee Assignments as of December 6, 2004 (Attachment No.2). As Council is aware, ad hoc committee assignments are made with theconcurrence of the Town Council. Assigned ad hoc committee members serve as Council "liaisons" to provide guidance and feedback on projects and/or events that may have a significant impact on the community. Although ad hoc assignments are expected to sunset once the project/event has been completed, assignments may be changed or added during the course ofthe year depending on specific needs or issues. The Council Committee Appointment Roster will be effective January 2005 and has been updated to reflect the appropriate contact information and meeting time and place. Staff will work with the Council Committee appointees as needed to assist them with committee assignments. FISCAL IMPACT: None.
