Mr. Curtis is seeking Council direction OAK MEADOW on whether the airplane should be renovated or removed. He spoke on the PARK AIRPLANE. repairs that would be necessary to meet safety standards. He stated that he had spoken with the Air Force and this airplane is one of only two that are used as play equipment. The Air Force also informed the Town that the airplane would have to be returned to a point of their choice should the Town wish to remove the airplane. 7:22 PM ITEM #8 Sandy Jordan asked if the $60,000 included removal of the plane to remodel. He spoke on the conditions of the bridge and the necessary repairs. He asked for Council direction and referred to the three options: 1. Limit bridge to bike and pedestrian traffic. 2. Make only the necessary bridge repairs or, 3. Replace the bridge by using VTA funding and/or grants. He explained that option three would require that the bridge be brought up to State standards which may affect the charm and character of the structure. --_.. 8:00PM ITEM #9 Richard Both spoke on closing the bridge and stated he would like to see it closed to vehicles. SPEAKERS FOR ROBERTS ROAD BRII)GE 8:00PM Marc Jensen spoke on the safe routes to school plan and how the bridge is part ofthat route.·He also asked for temporary or permanent side walks on Blossom Hill Road while repairs are being done. 8:02 PM Bob Barrow spoke about the cost ofrepairs and says he really hasn't seen big changes in the look of the bridge over the years.
