4-14-15 Shepardson VerbalSAVE MILLIONS
Saratoga’s Budget Report 2014/15:
“The City saves millions of dollars a year by contracting with the Sheriff’s Office instead of employing an in-house police department. The City spent $4.2 million on the Sheriff’s Office
contract in FY 2013/14. That accounted for just 25.4% of the City’s General Fund budget. This compares favorably to other Santa Clara County municipalities that dedicated upwards of
40% or more of their General Fund budgets on police services.”
