SUBJECT: Receive an Informational Report on the Mayor’s Appointment to the Finance
Commission
RECOMMENDATION:
Receive an informational report on the Mayor’s appointment to the Finance Commission.
DISCUSSION:
On January 19, 2021, Council interviewed and appointed applicants to the Finance Commission.
It was subsequently determined that the Mayor’s appointee did not meet all the qualifications
required by Measure A.
At the request of the Mayor, an additional outreach was done to solicit applications.
Applications were due on February 19. The Mayor has reviewed the applications and expects
to conclude interviews on February 26, 2021. She will notify the Clerk’s Office of her decision
and an Addendum or Desk Item will be provided once the information is received. The open
term is for a partial 3-year position set to expire December 31, 2023.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no fiscal impact with the appointments to the Town’s Boards, Committees, and
Commissions.
ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT:
This is not a project defined under CEQA, and no further action is required.
