Sorellas prohect
Having lived on the now Sorellas property for over 30 years and now li v ing b y it I have been
following the approval process closely. I have attended some community m eetings and have been
pleased with the architectural design. In speaking with their Project Manager, Michael Keaney, I've
learned that staff's interpretation of the Hillside Guidelines forces them to use very dark color and
materials on all elements of the new homes. In m y opinion, this restriction limits their ability to
design homes that integrate into the hillside environment and our existing community. Since that is a
very special piece of property for me, I am hoping that you will support some revisions.
I am supportive of the revisions proposed b y Town Staff to Section I. 2. of Chapter V of the Hillside
Guidelines as described in their Staff Report dated 9/23/15. These revisions would allow for the ·use
of an LRV averaging methodology for homes not visible from the v alley floor. I request the Planning
Commission follow staff recommendation and recommend approv al to the Town Council.
Since rely,
Sister Nicki
