Prevetti Town Manager/ Community Development Director From: Karen Kurtz [mailto:kurtzk@comcast.net] Sent: Thursday, September 17, 2015 12:34 PM To: Planning Subject: 100 Clifton Avenue To the town planning commission members, I am writing in regards to the proposed vineyard at 100 Clifton Av . I am not sure I will be able to attend the meeting on Sept 23rd. I would like to request that a ba r rier be installed on the upper part of Clifton Av. leading up to 100 Clifton Av. to prevent any vehicles from falling off the roadway down onto my property or the neighboring properties. It has been very frightening to see & watch all of those large trucks & equipment the last 4 yrs. traveling above me when I'm sitting or working in my backyard with nothing to protect the properties below. One little slip off the side of the narrow road would have dire consequences. I lived below Blossom Hill Rd at one time before a barrier was installed to protect our properties below. It took 3 accidents to happen & a life almost lost on night before anything was done to protect our properties. I know that was a county road but I hope you will understand the importance of this before an accident happens . I know it will not be attractive to look at but we are talking about valuable lives & properties . Please give this serious consideration to be done immediately with or without any more construction vehicles who might use the street again. Even regular traffic can easily go over the roadway, especially after a drink or two . Anyone is welcomed to contact me to view the situation from my backyard. Thank you for your consideration, KC1VeV'v Kuvtz 1.0J-1SvotilolWtil!j Ext. Lo:; Citilto:; 40f5-354-J-351. We would like to thank Mrs . Kurz for expressing her concerns. We have not had the opportunity to talk to her yet but we were able to talk to Mrs . Jeanne Stewart, who owns the road and whom I am copying on this email. We are done with our construction so there should no longer be any heavy truck going up and down the road any more. It took u s 2 years to rebuild this road abiding b y the Fire, Civil, Structural , Geotechnical and Town of Los Gatos requirements as you can see in our completed construction file. Everything we did has the required permit. We would like to point out that we have added a curb along the side of the road by the hillside that did not exist before all the way to the first set of gates on Clifton A venue that would prevent any vehicle from going over the road. Regard s, Caroline and Marc Philippe EXHIBIT 7 This Page Intentionally Left Blank
