The Town Standard driveway must be, at a minimum, 14 feet in width atproperty line per Town Standard Drawing No. ST-219.NOTES1. This project shall comply with the following: The California Fire (CFC) &Building (CBC) 2016 edition, as adopted by the Town of Los GatosTown Code (LGTC), California Cod of Regulators (CCR) and Health &Safety Code2. Water Supply Requirements: Potable water supplies shall be protectedfrom contamination caused by fire protection water supplies. It is theresponsibility of the applicant and any contractors and subcontractors tocontact the water purveyor supplying the site of such a project, andcomply with the requirements of that purveyor. Such requirements shallbe incorporated into the design of any water-based fire protectionsystems, and/or fire suppression water supply systems or storagecontainers that may be physically connected in any manner to anappliance capable of causing contamination of the potable water supplyof the purveyor of record. Final approval of the system(s) underconsideration will not be granted by this office until compliance with therequirements of the water purveyor of record are documented by thatpurveyor as having been met by the applicant(s). 019 CFC Dec.903.3.5 and Heath and Safety Code 13114.73. Thefencing must act in a way to deter and define anedge to the property along with other measuresof security.b)Special Animal Issues: the homeowners pet dogcan jump over a 3ft fence and would likelyescape if given the opportunity. Manyhomeowners in the neighborhood have anexisting and taller fence above 3' to provide forpet safety and deer protection.c) A Special Circumstance Exists: Because it ismandatory for the homeowner to feel secure intheir own home, the fence shall extend alongthe street frontage. Due to the “pie” shape ofthis lot, the property is much wider on the streetside compared to the rear of the property.
