Studio Green Response to comment #2 regarding Justification for Fence Height Exception
addressing Section 29.40.0320(b) of the Town Code by Sean Mullin, Planner dated June 12,
2020.
Dear Sean,
The proposed fence will exceed the three-foot height limitation set by Section
29.40.0315 and we will pursue a fence height exception addressing Section 29.40.0320(b) of
the Town Code. We have listed attributes to support our reasoning of this exception.
1.The Fence is consistent with the neighborhood character.
2.The fence is made up of multiple panels in order to break up the continuous line and height
while providing visual variety.
3. The vegetation is woven through the fence with both higher and lower planting to give a
more natural appearance.
4. The materials are natural and rustic offering a n earthy and organic feeling which resembles
the aesthetic characteristics of the community.
5. There is a large distance between the fence panels and the street, which includes parallel
parking for the neighborhood.
6. The scale of the fence and gates is not overwhelming and allows for semi-transparency in a
neighbor friendly style.
7.The fence allows for better security for the property owner and pets.
