Subject: Small business support
I have lived in Los Gatos my entire life, and my dad has been a small business owner in Los
Gatos for the duration of that time. He is really struggling to get any sort of financial support
from the federal government during this time, and I don't think relying on the federal
government for all of the support needed is a good strategy. I know Los Gatos doesn't have the
financial budget to necessarily provide financial support to all small businesses and renters, but
I want to STRONGLY ENCOURAGE a RENT FREEZE, both residential and commercial. Eviction
moratoriums are not enough. When this is over, unpaid rent is just going to come back and hit
people like a wall. I would also like to encourage the Town Council to approach Netflix and start
conversations about potential aid that Netflix could provide independently. People are annoyed
by the traffic Netflix brings, but this could be a good opportunity for them to shed themselves
in a positive light. Thank you for your consideration.
