New znd Story at 236 Las Miradas
The Wang family at 236 Las Miradas Drive plans to add a 2nd story and seeks approval to:
• Add new second floor with living area 35'x19' (665 SQ. FT.) for two bedrooms and bathrooms
• Demolish the roof and ceiling of existing south part of the house: 50' x 22'2" = 1108 SQ. FT.,
• Remodel existing house (1,495 sq ft) including kitchen and bathroom. Upgrade electrical work
(new power panel and new wiring). Upgrade plumbing (new sewer pipe/cleanout and
associated work). Add new furnace and AC with ducting and vents. Replace roof shingles to new
composite shingles
Here is the Wang family: Yujun Wang (Husband), Jia Liu (Wife), Harry Wang (16 year-old son) and Linda
Wang (12 year-old daughter). The current 1495 living area is not enough of the family with two teens.
Both Harry and Linda were invited by Mayor Steven Leonardis to lead the pledge of allegiance for the
Town Council Meeting on 06/16/2014. Harry helped California to win the National Champion at 2014
Raytheon MATHCOUNTS National Competition. He was selected into the 2017 United States Physics
Team (http:ljwww.aa pt.org/physicsteam /2017/team.cfm?id=1012&year=2017 ). Even the trophies kids
got are more than 20 and need a big bookshelf. The new 2nd story will extend the living area to 2160 SQ.
FT. and improve our life condition.
There are quite a few two-story houses in the neighborhood. For example, 252 and 257 Las Miradas
Drive, which is only 4 house away. Even with the new 2nd floor, our house will be the of the same height
as our next neighbor 232 Las Miradas, and does not look larger from the street.
We have consulted all the neighbors. They all agreed with our proposal. Please help to approve. Really
appreciate!
