ROLL CALL Present: Chair D. Michael Kane, Vice Chair Matthew Hudes, Commissioner Mary Badame, Commissioner Kendra Burch, Commissioner Melanie Hanssen, Commissioner Kathryn Janoff, and Commissioner Tom O’Donnell Absent: None PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Commissioner O’Donnell led the Pledge of Allegiance. The audience was invited to participate. SUBCOMMITTEE REPORTS/COMMISSION MATTERS Historic Preservation Committee Vice Chair Hudes - The HPC met on 1/24/18, and considered four items: o 121 Glen Ridge Avenue o 202 University Avenue o 51 College Avenue o 15 Loma Alta Avenue Chair Kane confirmed that Planning Commission members had chosen to remain on their current committees, with Commissioners Janoff, Burch, and Hanssen on the General Plan Committee; Chair Kane and Commissioners Badame and O'Donnell on the Conceptual Development Advisory Committee; and Vice Chair Hudes and Commissioner O'Donnell on the Historic Preservation Committee. Tate Trustee Applicant: Rick and Shelley Ballard Project Planner: Jocelyn Shoopman Annual review of an approved Conditional Use Permit to operate group cooking classes (Cucina Bambini) with beer and wine service and alternating use of parking on property zoned C-2. 4. Town Code Amendment A-17-006 and GP-17-003 Applicant: Town of Los Gatos Project Planners: Jennifer Armer and Ryan Safty Consider amendments to Chapter 29 (Zoning Regulations) of the Town Code, the General Plan, and other policy documents regarding planned development ordinances and the Conditional Use Permit Table. MOTION: Motion by Commissioner O’Donnell to approve adoption of the Consent Calendar. Seconded by Commissioner Badame. Ryan Safty, Associate Planner, presented the staff report. Opened Public Comment. Bob Flury - They agree with the staff report and do not contest anything. Todd Bayless - There are houses in the vicinity, some on smaller lots, which have larger footprints. Closed Public Comment. Commissioners discussed the matter. MOTION: Motion by Commissioner O’Donnell to approve an Architecture and Site Application for 16135 Cerro Vista Drive. Seconded by Commissioner Janoff. Commissioners discussed the matter. VOTE: Motion passed unanimously. OTHER BUSINESS 4. Report from the Director of Community Development Joel Paulson, Director of Community Development • Town Council met on 1/16/18; introduced modifications to the Accessory Dwelling Unit Ordinance; considered amendments to the North 40 Specific Plan and continued it to the meeting of February 6, 2018; and approved a story pole exception for 16212 Los Gatos Boulevard. • On February 6, 2018 the Town will begin a General Plan update, to be completed by 2020.
